GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL BOARD POSITIONS
All NACCTEP members are invited to nominate Executive Board candidates for the 2026-30 academic years. All nominees must be from a NACCTEP member college or become a NACCTEP member, active in teacher education, and accept financial responsibility or have institutional support to serve for the term of office. Openings include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and one (1) Member-at-Large positions beginning July 1, 2026. The NACCTEP Bylaws includes descriptions of all open positions and their duties. There is also the NACCTEP Code of Conduct available for review.

Nomination deadline is Thursday, May 14, 2026. Nominees will be posted to the website on Monday, May 18th with voting open to all current NACCTEP members through Monday, June 8, 2026.​

President
The President's term is a four-year term. The President must have previous board experience and will:

1) Preside at all meetings of NACCTEP.
2) Serve as Chairperson of the Executive Board.
3) Serve as Chairperson of the Strategic Planning Committee.
4) Act as an ex-officio member of all committees.
5) Perform all other duties that regularly pertain to the office.
6) Serve as a voting member of the Executive Board.
7) Serve as the official representative of NACCTEP.
8) Play a key role in the recruitment process by leveraging their position and influence within their organization to encourage participation in NACCTEP events and membership.

​Vice President
​
The Vice President’s term is a four-year term. The Vice President must have previous board experience and will:
1) Serve as the Chair of the Nominating Committee.
2) Perform the duties of the President when the President cannot perform the duties.
3) Serve as a voting member of the Executive Board.
4) Serve as a parliamentarian.
5) Perform other duties as assigned by the President.
6) Play a key role in the recruitment process by leveraging their position and influence within their organization to encourage participation in NACCTEP events and membership.

Treasurer
​
The Treasurer's term is a four-year term. The Treasurer must have previous board experience and will:
1) Serve as chair of the Finance Committee.
2) Serve as a voting member of the Executive Board.
3) Liaise with Maricopa Community College to manage the finances.
4) Direct creation of the annual budget.
5) Play a vital role in the recruitment process by leveraging their position and influence within their organization to encourage participation in NACCTEP events and membership.

​Member-at-Large
​
Term is a four-years and can be re-elected with a 2 term limit. Members-at-Large will:
1) Promote and coordinate the activities of the organization.
2) Serve as a voting member of the Executive Board.
3) Participate on one or more committees.
4) Attend monthly virtual board meetings.
5) Play a vital role in the recruitment process by leveraging their position and influence within their organization to encourage participation in NACCTEP events and membership.

Process for Nominations
Each nominee must have an electronic submission of the following:
* A statement of intent for candidacy which will be posted on the NACCTEP website.
* A biography, color photo, and 2-3 minute video explaining their interest in the position and the NACCTEP organization.
* A statement accepting financial responsibility or of institutional support for traveling to board retreat and national conference.
