Kristie Stuard, Delgado Community College (current Student Board Member)
Kristie Stuard is an elementary education major planning to transfer to the University of New Orleans after obtaining her associates degree. She believes children need the right guidance and knowledge to become great leaders. Kristie wants to be a teacher who provides the knowledge and guidance that children need in order to succeed. She wants to make education fun and interesting for her students so that they want to learn as much as possible. Kristie loves to spend her free time with her family and traveling.
Jennifer Rosado, Mesa Community College
Jenny Rosado is an elementary education major at Mesa Community College. She is Co-President of the Future Educators Club, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She was one of a few students selected to attend the Maricopa Community Colleges District Leadership Retreat in the fall of 2010. She will attend Northern Arizona University East Valley in fall of 2011, majoring in the dual program Special and Elementary Education. In addition to her studies, Jenny works 40 plus hours a week.
Anthony Del Real, graduate of Cerritos College
After serving in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years, Tony worked in an after school program for the Bellflower Unified School District. He was later hired as an instructional assistant working with high school emotionally disturbed students. In 2004, Tony was hired as a teacher working with the same population. This is his sixth year teaching, and he is still energized and full of patience! Tony is currently working towards his master's degree at Concordia University.
Ken Hill, San Diego Mesa College
Ken Hill is an elementary education major at San Diego Mesa College. Ken has experience working with special needs children and has an interest in exploring the field of special education. Working with and sharing knowledge with students is viewed as a fun endeavor for Ken and he believes that education is the foundation of the opportunity for success.
