Call For Proposals

Proposal strands include the areas of Partnerships, Programs, Policy, and Practice.

In addition to the strands above, NACCTEP is encouraging proposals that support the critical, national movement to increase mathematic and science teachers, in addition to initiatives supporting rigorous preparation for all K-12 teachers. In order to address suggestions made by 2008 conference attendees, additional proposal topics may include alternative teacher preparation programs at community colleges, increasing teacher diversity, and offering a forum for dialogue/brainstorming about challenges faced by community college teacher education programs.

Cosmic Science - Pre-Conference

Come Join us for Cosmic Science - The 2009 Faculty Institutes in Earth and Space Science
At the 2009 NACCTEP Pre Conference on March 12-13, 2009, at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada

A workshop for community college faculty who work with pre-service teacher education students. NASA Earth and space scientists and educators will share Earth and space science activities, data, and resources related to key science topics from the national science standards.

The NACCTEP national conference, Discover the Future of Community College Teacher Education Programs, will start immediately following this workshop.
