President's Welcome

Dear NACCTEP Friends,

Amazing, it is absolutely amazing. I just returned from another family event and as always a few people approached me to ask about educational issues or advice. Does this ever happen to you? What I found most amazing is how little others know about issues and trends in education and all the opportunities afforded to families. Please understand I have over 140 first cousins located all over the country. I am from a huge family but the fact remains, without a doubt, what we do as educators for future teachers has a tremendous impact on students, our family, and friends. This family occurrence reminded me of just how influential teachers can be.

So I ask you, how current are you on the issues and trends in education? Do you feel a bit behind or you are curious like me, always wanting to know more. Before it is too late, take a minute and register for NACCTEP national conference in Philadelphia. I can guarantee you will be exposed to new ideas and to a group of very dedicated professionals who are willing to share, learn, and grow with you. We want all our future teachers to have an opportunity to have a professor willing to share new ideas and potential trends. Just as I always try to help family and friends with educational information, we all must be ready for anyone to approach us with educational questions.

Join us at the 2012 national conference. Be a leader, be a change agent, learn and share your knowledge about community college teacher education trends. Teachers affect people in communities, families, government decision makers, and in reality all of mankind. How are you making a difference?

I am looking forward to our national conference and hearing about YOUR experiences. I will see you soon.
